The Advanced Manufacturing Program at Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical School will provide students with a state of the art educational experience placing them on a trajectory to the highly skilled, high demand field of Advanced Manufacturing. Students will learn the high level skills demanded in 21st century Advanced Manufacturing.

Our program prepares students for entry to the high demand field of Advanced Manufacturing by providing them with the highly technical skills that are necessary in this field.   They will follow a course sequence that starts with the basics of manual machining and progresses to advanced multi-axis CNC programming, setup, and operation. Students will be trained on the latest technology, learning the layout process, the setup and procedures necessary to operate equipment such as CNC lathes, CNC milling and turning machines and G-Coding.

Students will also learn Blueprint Reading, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Industry Math, Metrology, Inspection, Mastercam and Fusion 360.

Qualified and highly skilled machinists are presently in high demand in the Northeast and locally on the North Shore, where Advanced Manufacturing is one of our critical industries. Students completing our program will be ready to immediately enter the workforce.

Additionally, our students will have the opportunity to earn industry recognized credentials including NIMS and OSHA.  This course will also include resume preparation, professional portfolio and career resources, and job placement assistance.

The  Advanced Manufacturing Program is a 415-hour training program from 3/1/21-7/19/21.  Classes are held Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Saturdays from 7am to 3:30 pm.  (Dates subject to change with notification).  Sections of this class may be taught remotely.  Some online coursework is also required.
