Healthcare Training- Certified Nurse Assistant

Have you considered a career in the high demand field of healthcare, but are not sure how to start? Our new Healthcare Training Program could be right for you! This course will prepare you to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Students in this course will learn nursing assistant skills and will participate in a clinical at a local healthcare site. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge nursing assistants need to provide basic care for their patients. Students will be certified in CPR and receive Hand-In-Hand Dementia Training. Students will take their CNA certification test at the Red Cross.
DIDACTIC CLASSROOM SCHEDULE:
Start/End Date: July 12, 2021- July 30, 2021
Days: Monday - Thursday
Start/End Time: 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
(Classroom 8:30-11:30; Lunch 11:30-12:00; Clinical Lab 12:00– 2:30)
Fridays: Remote Classroom 8:30-11:30am
Per week: Class total hours 15/Clinical total hours 10
CLINICAL EXTERNSHIP SCHEDULE:
Group 1: August 1 – 5; 7:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Group 2: August 8 – 12; 7:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
This course is offered in partnership with the North Shore Community Action Program (NSCAP). There is a $50 registration fee. All registered students will be referred to NSCAP prior to the start of this program.
