Are you looking to become an Electrician? The standards of the Massachusetts Electrical Board of Examiners require both confirmation of multiple years of work hours in the Electrical Industry along with 600 hours of classroom instruction focused on National Electrical Codes and Electrical Theory. This course is the starting point for anyone interested in a Journeyman License. This course is a total of 280 hours which includes the first 150 Introductory classroom hours in addition to hands-on training, industry certifications and career readiness workshops. The Introduction course is offered for anyone just starting out and/or anyone with less than 150 certified hours of classroom code and theory instruction. This course will meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Classes begin on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 through April 2, 2026 (tentative). Classes meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 4 pm - 8 pm. Schedule days and time subject to change after Dec. 31, 2025.
This course is funded through the CTI training grant and requires career readiness and employer engagement activities with the MassHire Career Center. OSHA certification is included.
Space is limited for this program. Due to the high demand, all applicants are required to attend an information session and individual interview before final acceptance into the program.
