Journeyman Plumbing Classes are for students preparing to take the examination for the Massachusetts Journeyman Plumbing License. 

Apprentice plumbers must complete the five-tier curriculum (110 classroom hours/year) in order to be eligible to test for the journeyman plumber's license. Completion of 550 classroom hours fulfills the education requirement for licensure.  

Tier 5 Pre-requisite: Completion of 440 hours from Tiers 1, 2, 3 and 4

If these hours were completed outside of Essex Tech, applicants must provide documentation from the institution verifying the hours.

All applicants must provide a valid Massachusetts apprenticeship card. Please email to lberube@essextech.net before the class begins.

Classes schedule: September 9, 2025 - February 24, 2026

Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5 PM - 8 PM 

Students are required to have the most recent code book for class.

Course tuition may be paid in 2 installments. $475 due at registration. $475 balance will be automatically billed on 12/1/25 if paying by credit card. Please review the NightHawks Adult Education Refund Policy

ALL CLASS DEPOSITS MUST BE PAID BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS.
